Path points outside the process's allocated address space. The requested link requires writing in a directory on a read-only file system. An I/O error occurred while making or updating a directory entry. The directory in which the entry for the new name is being placed cannot be extended because the user's quota of disk blocks on the file system containing the directory has been exhausted. The directory in which the entry for the new name is being placed cannot be extended because there is no space left on the file system containing the directory.
Note that this error code will not be returned if the implementation permits cross-device links. The link named by to and the file named by from are on different logical devices (file systems).
to is a directory, but from is not a directory. import MIDI file using Fruity LSD, no sound. import MIDI file using MIDI out, no sound. import MIDI file using Flex, everything is normal but no sound. from is a directory, but to is not a directory. shows under MIDI output tab: Microsoft MIDI Mapper fail. A component of either path prefix is not a directory. Too many symbolic links were encountered in translating either pathname.
The to file exists, the directory containing to is marked sticky, and neither the containing directory nor to are owned by the effective user ID. The directory containing from is marked sticky, and neither the containing directory nor from are owned by the effective user ID.
Attempts to open MIDI Mapper or GS Wavetable Synth fail in Windows 10. The requested link requires writing in a directory with a mode that denies write permission. This veritable synthesizer engine has been part of the different Windows operating. A component of either path prefix denies search permission. A component of the from path does not exist, or a path prefix of to does not exist. Rename will fail and neither of the argument files will be affected if: A component of a pathname exceeded characters. If the file oldname.txt existed before the execution and we meet the permission requirements to call this function the file will be renamed to newname.txt, otherwise a message similar to this will be written to stderr: Some systems do not allow to move directories. On error a non-zero value is returned and the errno variable is set to the corresponding error code that can be printed using perror. If the file is succesfully renamed/moved a 0 value is returned. This filename must not be the same of an existing one. This file must exist and we must have write access to it. Path and name of the file to be renamed or moved. If oldname and newname specify different paths the file is moved. You can find more info in the Using the program/MIDI/Instrument plugins online help topic.Renames the file or directory specified by oldname to newname.
If your soundcard doesn't have an hardware MIDI synth and you want to have lower latency you can try using VSTi instruments and set n-Track to use WaveRT, WDM or Asio drivers to allow low audio output latency.
The default is Midi Mapper, which matches the MIDI output device selected in the Start Menu/Control Panel/Sounds and audio devices/Audio as default device for "MIDI Music Playback" The desired MIDI outputs can be selected in the File/Settings/Preferences/MIDI/MIDI devices dialog box. If your soundcard has an hardware MIDI synth it should be preferred over the Microsoft MIDI synth. This may create sync problems with audio tracks and other MIDI tracks sent to hardware MIDI synths.
The Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth is a software synth, it adds approximately 1/10 of a second of delay between the time it receives a MIDI note and the time the note can be heard through the audio output.
